You and your whānau will have access to quality general practitioners, experienced nurses and wrap-around wellness support once enrolled.
Te Aranga Health is a general practice located on the East side of Ōtautahi. Our services encompass the whole whānau (Family) to then providing aftercare treatment with the direct support from our neighbours, He Waka Tapu.
If this sounds like you, we encourage you to follow our enrolment process. Our staff will also guide you through it kānohi ki te kānohi (Face to face).
Te Aranga Health was initially established as a partnership between He Waka Tapu, Better Health Group, and Doctor Paul Hercock. Our joint experience enabled us to better understand and serve our community, by offering high quality and accessible healthcare services. The support of Better Health Group and Dr Paul Hercock enabled He Waka Tapu to purchase full ownership in November 2022, strengthening the wrap around supports we are wanting to provide for our whaiora and whānau.
He Waka Tapu is our neighbouring services, a kaupapa Māori organisation that runs a multipurpose health hub focused on promoting wellbeing for whānau (family) and the community. Their programs cover areas such as whānau safety, Alcohol and Other Drug Services (AOD), whānau ora, community, health services, and suicide prevention. Incorporating Māori philosophy: values, knowledge, and practices into their programs to support the wellbeing of whaiora. They also provide support to Pasifika and other ethnicities, without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, or sexuality. He Waka Tapu is committed to serving their community with professionalism and inclusivity.

Practice Plus
Practice Plus is available to patients at Te Aranga Health, offering same day after-hours virtual GP consultations that suit you. Practice Plus will provide you with medical care quickly as an extension to the team at Te Aranga Health, and is a great alternative to sitting in a waiting room for hours at a 24-Hour Surgery.
You can access these services through your phone, tablet or laptop device. Visit Practice Plus and go to the 'getting started' tab for instructions on how to get set up on the system.
